Graham Nicholls: Psycho-Virtual Realitiesposted by core
Graham Nicholls is a London based installation artist with a commitment to work that examines the relationship between social and psychological awareness. He is presently working on a major Virtual Reality installation for the Science Museum in London which draws on his work with other forms of immersive installation.
Much of Nicholls' work examines the way in which interaction can be used to access the unconscious. Over the past 13 years he has undertaken regular experiments into immersion, trance and sensory deprivation.
This research has lead Nicholls to create works which allow the public to have an experience directly through the work via techniques from NLP and hypnosis. The social dynamic in his work comes from Nicholls' own background and experiences in London which led him to an internal perception of the city environment.
