MRP INCREASES IN 2022

The Board of Directors voted at the last meeting to increase the MRP for 2022 from $900 to $1,000. The MRP for 2021 must be received by April 30, 2022 (maximum $900).

RESULTS OF 2nd VP ELECTION

Michael J Salcito was officially declared the winner of the Second Vice President election run by Honest Ballot, which reported the results on Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, after voting closed at 9 p.m. Salcito won with 50% of the vote. The Ninth Judicial District Court Employees Association (NJDCEA) represents the majority of employees working in various Courts of Westchester and Rockland Counties including:

The NJDCEA is the official bargaining unit for our members and we work to secure the best possible results during contract negotiations. To ensure members are knowledgeable regarding their rights and responsibilities as a Unified Court System employee, the Union (or Association) provides detailed information and representatives are on hand to answer specific questions. Upon request, Union (or Association) representatives mediate with management on members’ behalf and pursue grievances with the Office of Court Administration. Committed to the health of our membership, the NJDCEA administers the employee benefit fund which supplies dental, vision, hospital, tuition, pharmacy and other benefits available to our members, retirees, and their families.

OFFICER UPDATE: NEW PRESIDENT, SECOND VP ELECTION RESULTS, UPCOMING OFFICER ELECTION

The new president of the NJDCEA is Janet Gandolfo who took office effective Jan. 22, 2022. Janet can be reached at [email protected]. As of Jan. 6, NJD’s Treasurer has retired, and on Feb. 28, the First Vice President will be resigning. An election for both positions will be run concurrently. A blank petition can be found here. Be sure to fill in the position of either First Vice President or Treasurer, as well as the complete name of the candidate, when presenting your signed petition.
